Welcome! A defining moment...

Given the personal transition I'm going through right now, I've been feeling a bit lost. Scrambling around to remember who I am, I fell on the word "passion." To make a long story short, I am using passion to launch this site and myself, once again. At 54, I've learned a lot, forgotten even more and now is a good time to capture some lessons and inspirations in my little blog. So stay tuned. I've written a few entries and will publish them soon. The topics?
  • More on the discrete passion thing and why it fits my personality.
  • Prototype Javascript mania why it's cool.
  • Career advice for software developers.
  • Thoughts on the Big Bang and little things you may or may not be aware of.
  • My perspective on Open Source today, after 11 years of involvement.
  • The balance of software development ideals and the reality of the business context.
  • How Salesforce.com kicks and why Google has GOT to buy them.
  • Why you need to check out XMLC, an open source technology that can keep JSP out of your life. Forever! And now, thanks to Web 2.0 development practices, more relevant than ever.
So, stay tuned. I hope you find useful what I have to say. What I post is backed by passion!
